Ever since Mount Sinai there has not been such a powerful connection between all parts of our nation – we have become a united beating heart.
All boundaries have fallen, all disputed forgotten, and out the darkness our partnership and love are becoming more and more apparent. We are all gathering around our central root that has connected us since we became one nation – the holy Torah!
These times are a historic chance to establish and imprint this unity for generations to come
We must not miss this great moment when all hearts are open. We must make this time of unity into a connection of eternity and preserve this spirit so it may keep us forever close together.
The deep heartfelt hope of every Jew, that all our hostages return safe from their horrific imprisonment unites all of our people. For them and for their merit Am Yisrael is writing 240 Sifrei Torah, that will be brought to distant places lacking a Sefer Torah, and they will be there as a symbol of the unbroken connection between all parts of our nation and the holy Torah.
thousands of Jews will write a letter in the Sifrei Torah, rabbis, public figures, the families of the kidnapped will be honored, and many, many Jewish people will devote this Mitzvah to the safe return of our brethren.
we will bring these Sifrei Torah to the Shuls in the Kibbutzim, to communities that lost many members who were murdered on that terrible day, and others are still held captive in Gaza.
on the day of Simchat Torah, the day the despicable enemy hoped to demolish us, on this same day next year, millions of Jews all over the world will celebrate with 240 new Sifrei torah in their communities.
the deep connection of the heart between the donors from Israel and around the world and the communities that receive them will become a steadfast connection for eternity.
what we most need at this time is to give strength to our spirit, our Jewish spirit that has always kept us in trust and hope. This is what has always held us strong, and this is how we will win.
